WhatsLit requires you to be within 100 metres of a venue to post. Make sure your phone's location services are enabled and set to "While Using the App" for WhatsLit in your device Settings. If you're clearly at the venue and still can't post, try stepping outside briefly to get a better GPS signal, then try again.
Heat score is a combined metric: 60% is based on the average fire rating from all posts at a venue tonight, and 40% is based on how many posts have been made at that venue today. The higher the rating and the more active the crowd, the higher the heat score. Scores are updated in real time.
Go to your Profile → Settings → Delete Account. You'll be asked to confirm. Once deleted, your account and all associated data are permanently removed from our systems within 30 days. This action cannot be undone.
On any post, tap the three-dot menu (⋯) and select "Report". For reporting a user, go to their profile and tap the menu icon in the top right. You can also email abuse@infoholiks.com with details and we'll review within 24 hours.
Location is core to how WhatsLit works. We use it to verify you're at a venue before you post (within 100m), to power the Vibe Radar showing nearby venues, and to calculate distances. We only access location while the app is open — never in the background. You can revoke access in Settings at any time, though this will prevent posting.
Yes — you can browse the feed and view venue heat scores as a guest without signing in. However, posting, following venues, and accessing your profile all require a free account. Sign in takes seconds with Google or Apple.
Posts are reviewed automatically for policy compliance. If your post contained content that violated our Terms of Service, it may have been removed. Check your internet connection and try re-posting. If the issue persists, contact support@infoholiks.com with a description of what happened.
WhatsLit is currently focused on Kampala, Uganda. The app works anywhere in the world — venue discovery depends on community activity. If you're in a city with no WhatsLit users yet, you won't see venue posts but you can still explore. Expansion to more cities is planned.
